Loy is a BIM enthusiast from Singapore. It has been 6 years since he entered the sphere of BIM implementation and execution. Starting with a diploma in Game Design, he ventured to explore the similarities and differences of designing in the virtual environment against the built environment. Along the way, he made the switch to Architecture after being picked up by an Archi & Structural Consultant for his peculiar skillset. He built his reputation in the first company with his ability to work in thin deadlines due to his mastery of BIM Authoring Tools. Back when the knowledge of BIM was limited in Singapore, he took the challenge to manage BIM throughout the entire company, setting the standards for BIM implementations, and took the role of training & integration of new members in the company. The result was beyond productivity increase, as BIM was further used to build the brand of the company in document productions as well as a ready to use library of 600+ unique models. Till this day, the company which he was in on his early practice is benefitting from the initial set-up and structure he created for BIM practices.
